Both the over 60s Clarets and Blues were in action at the start of the season. The Clarets won 2 and lost 2, beating Eastwood and Chelmsford Blues both 1-0 and losing 2-0 to Billericay and 2-1 to Cheshunt.
The Blues drew one and narrowly lost 3, drawing 1-1 with a very strong Cheshunt side and losing 1-0 to both the Clarets and Eastwood and 2-1 to Billericay. As always (for both of our teams) , it is extremely fine margins, with small errors or a bit of luck falling the wrong way often deciding games.
Well done to both teams , particularly our keepers on the day Steve Shoosmith and Malcolm Cresswell.
