Training sessions are currently running on Monday Evening, Tuesday and Thursday following all Covid-19 restrictions and our own detailed Risk Assessment
Chelmsford City Walking Football Club welcomes players of all standards both male and female, although we don’t have any female members at the moment. It’s not even a requirement to have played football before! You don’t need to be physically fit. Aside from their age, a number of our members have suffered conditions that have made them less mobile. Walking Football is aimed at the Over 50s (and all competitions are either for Over 50s, Over 60s or Over 65s). Our oldest players are in their 70s. We pride ourselves on being a friendly club and recognise that for some it’s not just about football but also about meeting new people.
We play every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as follows:
Tuesday
Venue: Chelmsford Melbourne Park Astro, Salerno Way CM1 2EU. Outdoors on a 3G pitch. It is imperative that you wear either moulded or metal studded boots. The pitch owners will not allow the wearing of astroturf boots or trainers. The wearing of shin pads is also compulsory.
Time: 10am to 12pm (Meet pitch side at 9.45am to help setup)
Cost: £5 per session (payable to the club)
Thursday
Venue: Chelmsford Melbourne Park Astro, Salerno Way CM1 2EU. Outdoors on a 3G pitch. It is imperative that you wear either moulded or metal studded boots. The pitch owners will not allow the wearing of astroturf boots or trainers. The wearing of shin pads is also compulsory.
Time: 12noon to 2pm (Meet pitch side at 11.45am to help setup)
Cost: £5 per session (payable to the club)
Monday Evening session:

Time: 8pm to 9pm (Meet pitch side at 7.45pm to help setup))
Cost: £4 per session (payable to the Club)
We are not currently playing walking football inside at Chelmsford Sport and Athletic Centre. However if this changes we will update all members
