Many of you will be aware that Billericay Walking Football are hosting a 24-hour (2 x12 hour) fundraiser for Prostate Cancer UK. We have 10 of our members playing from 10am -12pm on Wednesday 26th August in this marathon footie event.
We have made a generous donation, channelling our sweepstake £810 money to Prostate Cancer UK via this event. Once again, we have shown that we have very big hearts.
Our lads Dennis Hawkins, Richard Howard, George Keogh, Mark Harris, Malcolm Cresswell, Ian Bentley, David Lawrie, Gary Smith, and Steve Shoosmith were there working hard. So far, the event has raised £3045 for Prostate Cancer UK (£810 coming from CCWFC via our club sweepstake).
A big thank you to the lads who represented our club today, once again we can be very proud of our contribution to the wider community.
Finally, a special thank you to Steve Shoosmith who led this on behalf of our club.
