Walking Football for Vets

Here is a direct quote on the benefits of walking football from our 50s Squad Manager Steve Brown of Chelmsford City Walking Football

“I was like most VETS in thinking walking football wasn’t for me . But after giving up playing because of niggling injuries, I missed the game I loved playing for the last 30 years. Playing for CCWF club changed my whole perception of the game. Its great for fitness,  it uses your skills and football knowhow and a real social sport. And if you feel up to it we have a selection of players playing competitively in the Essex walking football league. We now have quite a few ex-vets who have recently joined and absolutely love it. So come along and join us and play for the future,  we can all re live those 30 years ahead of us !”

Our new summer venue is Chelmer Valley High School, Broomfield, CM1 7ER training session 8 -9 pm on Thursday evening, meet at 7.45pm by the pitch. This is geared towards the younger players who can’t play during the day

Hers is more action on a Thursday evening during a session with the over 50s
