Their over 65’ Clarets won the Essex Walking Football League o65’ championship in 2021 and have just retained their league title for 2022!

They remained unbeaten for the season, winning 12 and drawing 6, scoring 30 and only conceding 8, they won the title by 14 points.

Chris Jullings, club Chairman and joint team manager for the o65’ Clarets said ‘It is fantastic that we have retained the title, but the real winner is walking football. Thousands of over 50’ men and women across the UK not only stay fit playing walking football, but they also benefit from a great sense of belonging and wellbeing.’

Chris is looking forward to the o65’ Clarets team going for a hat-trick of titles in 2023!

The club will also be entering an over 50’ team in the Essex League next season as well as participating in several over 70’ tournaments – so something for everyone!
