Chelmsford City Walking Football over 70s teams were in action at Billericay Town this week
The Clarets went into the day needing 7 from 12 points to win their second successive Division 1 title. The day started well, being 4 -0 up at half time against Harlow, with Spencer Pratten (World Walking Footballer of the Year).
This was followed by a 2-0 win against Leyton Orient but a 0-2 defeat to Little Oakley. It went to the last game against Barnet which ended 0-0. The rain came down but somehow the winners medal takes the mind off it. A great squad performance across the season. This was a great squad performance across the season.
Our over 70 Blues had three games, drawing all three 1-1 with Romford and 0-0 against both Heybridge and Billericay. As always, it is very tight margins, the CCWF Blues go onto their final games next week.
