Our over 50’s Clarets have only been together two years but they recently stepped out for their first games in Essex Walking Football League, Division 1.
It was a tough start with games against last years winners and runners up.
The boys did brilliantly, with a 0-0 against Blackmore (last year’ winners) ; 3-3 against Concord (last year’ runners up) and a 2-0 win against Colchester. There were some fantastic goals from Steve Cornwall, Steve Brown, and a great penalty from Simon Marshall.
Commitment of the day came from Matt Freeman , who stepped off a plane at 5.30am and put in a great shift.
50’s Clarets are sitting second in the Division 1 table, a fantastic start.
