The over 65’ teams had their second round of league games on Tuesday 21st May, played in the pouring rain at Billericay!! Training for the rest of the club players at Chelmsford was just as wet!
It was a bit of a mixed day. In the morning, the over 65’ Blues , who had started the day top, had a 0-0 draw and two narrow 2-0 defeats, meaning that they have slipped to 3rd place. Once again it highlights that these games are played with very narrow margins
The good news is they are only 2 points off the leaders
The over 65’ Clarets continued their good form with 3 wins , 2-0, 3-1, and 5-2 to go 10 points clear at the top of Division 1. There were a number of excellent performances, but man of the day has to go to Spencer who scored 8 goals!
Both teams are doing the club proud!
