As many will know we entered our o60’ Clarets and over 65’ Clarets in the MIND Charity Tournament at Billericay.

The o60’ Clarets won 2 and drew one in their group stage and then beat Heybridge in their quarter final.

The o65’ won 3 and drew one in their group stage and went straight through to the semi-finals.
The o65’ Clarets then won the semi -final between the two Chelmsford teams on a penalty shoot-out after a hard-fought match.
The o65’ Clarets then went on to play Billericay in the final and again won it on a penalty shoot-out, with Alan Passmore slotting home the winning penalty.

Of, course , the real winner on the day was the MIND charity , who not only benefitted from over £2000, but also raised further awareness about mental health issues.
