As you may know the over 65 Clarets made the 300-mile round trip yesterday to Nottingham to play in the WFA national cup final in August
The Clarets played 6 games in a round robin competition, losing 4 and drawing 2
The results were –
Godalming 0-0
Wakefield (the eventual winners) 0-2
MSA Strollers 0-2
Blackburn Rovers (the runners up) 0-0
Highworth 0-1
Bexley 0-1
As you can see, we conceded 6 goals in 6 games but sadly didn’t score. As you would expect it was a tough competition, with the best 7 over 65 sides in England fighting it out for the trophy
