Whilst the danger of relegation was remote, Tuesday 16th September still had to be navigated.
1-1 draws against both of the Eastwood teams and a narrow 2-1 defeat to Beacons Hill was enough for the Clarets to maintain their 6th place. Grays and Harlow Town were relegated ,with Southend in 7th place. Congratulations to the team for retaining their division 1 status after last years’ promotion and a special thank you to Peter Osborne for being player / manager over the past 2 years , a job well done.
The o60’ Blues also started the day in 6th place in a pack of teams all capable of jostling for a better position. The Blues played extremely well today beating both Billericay teams 1-0 and 3-0 and then drawing 0-0 in a friendly against Stones.

The excellent performance coupled with results going their way elsewhere meant that they climbed from 6th to finish a very credible 3rd in division 2. Bexley and Concord were promoted.
A great team performance across the season, well done to the team and to Dave Gregory as player /manager. The o60’ Clarets will be in action again in the Essex league cup finals in October.
Well done to everyone who has turned out for the o60’ this season!
