84 club members and their families and friends turned out for our annual Club Quiz Night. 14 teams battled a fantastic 10-round quiz run by Spencer and Vince with great support from Tina, Claire, and Steve.
In an extremely close contest, the 2025 winners with 108 points were Mike Flack, Stuart Lomax, and Ian Bentley’ Team Soccerates (who had also won it in 2024 as ‘A Herd of Nerds’).
Team Soccerates generously donated their prize back to the Prostate Cancer UK appeal.
The runners up on 104 points were Jim Prophet, Geoff Stockley, and Alan Passmore’ team , ‘ The Wooden Tops’. The best named team went to Malcolm Cresswell’ ‘Quiz Akabusi’ !
Of course, the big winner on the night was Prostate Cancer UK – we raised another £860, bringing our total over the last 4 years to £10,960.
