Our over 65’ Clarets walking football team played in the Essex league cup finals today, Tuesday 15th October. They played very well but two 0-0 draws against Leyton Orient and Southend, coupled with a 1-0 defeat to Wakering meant they didn’t make the final (which was won on penalties by Wakering
Sadly, it wasn’t going to be three cup wins on the bounce. The consolation was that the Clarets were presented with their Division1 Championship Trophy and medals
Clarets have had a good 2024, winning their 4th consecutive league title and appearing at the over 65’ national cup finals. Add to this the success of the over 50’ and 60’ Clarets we can all be very proud of the progress the club has made in 2024
