The over 65s Clarets played their WFA Regional Cup Final today, Tuesday 25th July.
It was a tight affair with Clarets 1-0 up at half time through a well taken goal from Colin Haydon
The Clarets dominated much of the second half but conceded a goal in the last 5 minutes to take the game to a penalty shootout
Chris Jullings saved Sleaford’ third penalty and Matt Freeman slotted home the final Clarets spot kick to win 3-2 on penalties
The Clarets now go to Nottingham on the 1st of September to compete in the national final as East Champions It has undoubtedly been third time lucky , following the narrow 4-3 and 1-0 defeats at the same stage over the last couple of years
